The new art blog (+general blog). Yeah, after many many years, I've decided to put this LJ art blog behind me. The new blog will be active, though not always with art, but there's always tags and categories for selective reading. ;D This new blog also combines my photography blog I made not that long ago (a year ago?) Yes, the idea is to bring all my dead blogs into one place to create an active one, lol.

I'm not deleting this LJ account, since I do want access to some LJ communities still. But there shall be no more updates so it is effectively dead.

If you happen to have an external blog and would like to link exchange, feel free to let me know somehow. I pretty much took the link list from my Blogspot account so it is still awaiting expansion lol.

This class is a serious test of my attention span. =\ How do you teach something like this with powerpoint slides, a laser pointer, and a monotone voice?

Evidently, I didn't stay focused for very long. And I was able to draw this only because this is the position he is in most of the time -- that is, pointing at the damn display and blabbing on until he needs to write something on the slides. -_-"

(After class was done this dude was like "wow you found that lecture really captivating eh vigorously taking notes and really paying attention to the prof" ... LOL yeah man, that's exactly it.)

Mmm practice sketch last time = worth it haha. I was hoping I can (finally) finish this today or tomorrow but the lights went out a while ago so I stopped (hence the game talk above) and now I'm not in the mood anymore. SEEEEEEE.... the first time I'm working on this since Jan or Feb (...) Mother Nature decides to mess with me. 'Tis fate.

I keep forgetting to buy that damn blender. DX Next time I go to an art store...!!

Haha o god I'm totally posting this to procrastinate my PDEng assignment lolll I've exhausted all resources and THEN! I remembered about this. :'D Changed some things since the last time I posted this. (Not much though.) I was inspired to finish this again, after instilling 5cm/s into some of my friends, and from (finally, after 2 years) receiving studioRS's "Something Colorful" from Toby this weekend. Lots of nice art in there I was like WOW WANTS TO DRAW. (Hmm I would say seeing Toby's sketchbooks inspired me too!)

This CG and that Lightning CG....!!! My ultimate goals in life, I swear. I think both of them are as old as.. the # of years it took for me to get that artbook from Toby LOL. O god. Time flies.

OFF TOPIC........book recs anyone? :'D Recently been wanting to get into reading again. I'm currently reading "Memoirs of a Geisha" (lol yes yes, behind) and I guess I'm looking for similar books; historic fiction-ish books. I'm enjoying this book so far, and while I still haven't gotten past 60 pages in "The Other Boleyn Girl" (Philippa Gregory) I'm liking that too. Sooo.. anything similar, or just anything epic, please recommend! Thanks. :'D

It's really easy for me to forget about this blog. OTL I try, I try.

Sometimes I see this baby in a stroller on my way to work in the mornings. She has the prettiest face ever and you just want to squish her. (And I hate babies/toddlers/etc too...ahhh) Sometimes, it just makes me so relax and calm seeing an innocent child's sincere smile. It's like. So pure, and untainted by this world. Something I will never have again.

Ahhh... my patience ran out while drawing this, so this is sloppy and will likely remain like this. I really want to update Y.net though. Argh hands, draw something nice!!!!!!

I've officially decided to separate photos from this journal and make this an art-exclusive journal. (Ironic because I'm still using this tag, I know I know.) To be honest I have a feeling my photo blog will be updated more often than this one, but hey, I still am trying to draw... trying...

I really wanted to post about it when it happened but I didn't have art and now it's been like 2 weeks... but still, Bahamut Fury ain't got shit on me haw haw haw Aerith's DMW came just in time damn I love her even more now.

It's been a long day. I'm tired. Lots of things added up together. I had a bad and horribly long day. Sometimes I don't think I can live up to the expectations life give me, or the ones my chosen path give me, or the ones I give myself. I don't know what to do with myself sometimes. I just want to do well in what I do, and that is becoming increasingly difficult. (Even drawing, as this thing clearly illustrates.) Now I understand why adults always told me to cherish childhood while it lasted. It's not that childhood was particularly sparkly or super happy fun, it's just... a lot better. Things were simpler back then, I didn't have to think as much, I didn't have as many things to consider each time I made a decision, I didn't have as many responsibilities, and most of all I didn't care about anything most of the time.

Now the depressing news is that it only gets worse from here.

I think I'm just having a bad & moody day. I just need to get a good night's sleep, have a nice talk with chanchan, and get on with life. So, I'll start with the sleeping part...

Wow I do NOT remember the last time I posted. Haven't really been checking this flist either... ^_^" Hi everyone...! :D

This is the last crop I made of the guest illust I made for Fresh Baked's Ouran doujin. I would show the whole thing if a) I wasn't too lazy to open Photoshop; b) if it looked good lol... It's Haruhi! It does indeed say "coffee" in Korean on her cup. There's a long story behind it but lol maybe another time XD

There's this woman in my company, but in the Montreal Office. Her name is Stella Lussier. I'm so curious how she looks like. When I came across her name one day, I kind of sat in my seat going omgwtfbbq?! for a good 2 minutes. Hence, I guess that is a large part of why I drew Stellar again, after ... 2 years?

I've made lots of realisations and decisions about myself and my art during my absence, details too long to enclose. But basically, it's amazing that I'm attempting to CG this, and I've already made it as far as finishing inking, and doing the background as we speak! lol Stellar <3

Drawing Stellar and listening to GSD music made me feel like I'm 17 all over again. Though nostalgic, also makes me sad. Not because of how crappy GSD ended (lol yes I still remember), but at fleeting time, I guess. Lots happened in these 3 years, but thinking back to GSD and indulging myself in it feels like nothing happened and I am still where I was, who I was, doing what I always did. Then having to snap back to reality and realize that right now it's 10:35PM on a Sunday, which can only mean one thing... =_= how I hate Monday mornings.

Hence, I decided to draw a Misa...... If you check back on all entries under my "Death Note" tag and look at the Misa pics I drew in the past, DAMN they look different. And I realized I drew this outfit, or variations of it, 3 times already. Unconsciously. Wow... everytime I draw it, something changes. But in the end, I got lucky this time and I am rather fond of this Misa over my past ones. I never realized I drew Misa so... so... shoujo and... I don't know... happy. I guess she is a happy person but... she's evil and badass too! Haha ok I'll just stfu now...

Hello to the new people on the flist! Waves. (And uh, bye to the people who deleted their accounts/removed me etc? ;_;) I do believe I was tagged in a few memes during these months. I saw those posts but I didn't remember who or when, so uh... now I'm just going to be pretend I was never tagged, unless you point them out to me again. T_T

As to why I was suddenly inspired to post at 3AM when I have class in about 5.5 hours--beats me! :D This is about 2 weeks old as well nod nod. For the keen people, this is indeed charcoal, and it is indeed my first time using charcoal. I'm sure pros could already see the noobness in using the medium and want to strangle me for butchering charcoal. -hides- I love charcoal though, and I love my textured paper. Definitely something I want to do again! (And I finally got over my fear of varnish. XD ....Uh, sort of.)

As for Yukizora.net, yes I know it's been untouched since November 07 (LOL omg typing it out makes me realize how long it's been...). The first thing I do after school is done (late April) is revamping my site like omg. But for now, you can take a look at treat's newly renovated art site, SMASH! Cookie! :) Revived from a year hiatus wooooooo go Mufffff XD (Wow I can't believe I still remember HTML codes..)

I don't remember doing much art at all in 2007 (is that just me?) but I'm going to make an effort to do more in 2008! Time management is key. -noddles- I am slowly fighting away my art block, but some of it is still here. (E.g. CG block is still here) I've realized that the key for me is to see beautiful things. When I see beautiful things I feel like drawing. This could mean anything. Nature, animation, movie, other's art, and Zack (FFVII). (HE IS BEAUTIFUL T^T flails)
